Hi, I'm Christy. I grew up on a farm in Levubu, South Africa, where caring for animals was part of my daily life. I loved our horses, cows, sheep and goats. And of course, I absolutely adored our domestic pets! Even when I moved to the city, I always made sure to have at least one furry companion. In 2017 I was devastated when my bestest doggie Bruno passed over the rainbow bridge aged 16 (you'll see lots of pics of him). Then my husband got a job in Germany. I was beside myself worrying about how my other fur babies (Taz, a 10-year old labrador cross and Dottie, a 15-year old cat) would handle traveling, quarantine etc. Fortunately, close friends who knew the animals from birth offered to adopt them. Although it was heart-breaking, we agreed it was kinder to leave them together in South Africa. I've been in Düsseldorf since 2018 - and I miss my animals every single day! Whenever possible, I try to engage with my neighbours' dogs. There are beautiful parks near me, one with a free-run fenced area. If the dog is socialised, I let it play with other pooches. If not, we simply enjoy a longer walk together. I'm happy dog-(or cat-) sitting too. When some friends went on holiday, I was overjoyed to baby-sit Pretzel, their gorgeous French bulldog, for 10 days in their home. I currently work as a freelance caterer, which means I have flexible hours and can make a lot of free time during the day. I would love to get to know and spend quality time with your pet We will go for long walks and play in the park game such as "fetch" and "stick"
