Hi! My name is Eunkyung, and I’m a student living in Berlin. I genuinely love spending time with animals, and caring for dogs and cats has become a very meaningful part of my daily life. For me, pet sitting is much more than just a part-time job. I see it as a responsibility that deserves patience, attention, and genuine care. My Experience I have around two years of hands-on pet-sitting experience in Berlin and have looked after many dogs with different personalities, ages, sizes, and needs. Before becoming a pet sitter, I also fostered three rescue animals through an animal welfare organization (Pflegestelle). These experiences have taught me how to approach animals with patience, understand their behavior, and build trust with them. Throughout my pet-sitting experience, I have always maintained positive relationships with the owners. I have never received negative feedback, and many owners have contacted me again for future bookings. I believe this continued trust is one of the most meaningful ways to demonstrate the quality and reliability of my care. My Daily Life with Your Dog One thing that makes my pet sitting different is that I never leave the dogs I look after home alone. I organize my daily schedule around them and take them with me wherever I go. Even when I go to university, I can bring dogs to my classes, as dogs are welcome there. This means your dog doesn't have to spend long hours waiting alone at home. Instead, they can stay with me and be part of my everyday life. I adjust my routine to each dog's individual needs, making sure they receive plenty of attention, companionship, and a comfortable daily rhythm. Walks & Individual Activities I particularly enjoy going on long walks with dogs. My walks usually last at least an hour, but the duration and frequency always depend on the individual dog's age, health, energy level, and preferences. I don't take every dog on the same route. I pay attention to their personality and choose environments where they feel comfortable and happy. For example, if a dog is shy, anxious, or sensitive to noise and crowds, I prefer quiet streets and less busy walking routes. If a dog loves parks, open spaces, or exploring new places, I happily adapt our walks to include those environments. I believe that every dog deserves an individual routine rather than a fixed schedule that is the same for everyone. I always try to understand what makes each dog feel safe, relaxed, and happy. Health Care & Special Attention Your pet's health and safety are extremely important to me. I pay close attention to their behavior, appetite, energy levels, and physical condition throughout the day. If I notice anything unusual, such as a change in behavior, signs of discomfort, or an injury, I inform the owner immediately. I also have practical experience handling health issues during pet-sitting stays. When a dog I was looking after became ill, I immediately contacted the owner and personally took the dog to their regular veterinary clinic for an examination. Afterwards, I continued taking care of the dog at home, following the necessary instructions, administering prescribed medication, cleaning and disinfecting wounds when needed, and carefully monitoring their recovery. I understand how important it is to communicate openly with owners and to handle these situations calmly and responsibly. Communication & Reliability I know that leaving your beloved pet in someone else's care requires a lot of trust. That's why I make an effort to keep owners updated with regular photos, videos, and messages throughout the day. I carefully follow your instructions regarding feeding times, walking routines, medication, and any special requirements. If I have questions or notice anything unusual, I always communicate with you rather than making assumptions. My goal is to provide more than just basic pet sitting. I want your dog to feel at home, receive individual attention, enjoy their daily activities, and have constant companionship while you are away.
