Hello, My name is Mari. 

I have loved animals my entire life and I would love to help you out during your vacation/time away from home, because I know how great it feels to leave the fur babies behind in capable hands. I offer cat sitting, where I also make time to interact, play and give attention to your pet. If your animal is shy, I completely get that too! I will give them the space, and I am gentle in my approach. I also offer dog walking where I take your dog on its usual route, play with him (if he is that type), and give him attention. I also will talk to your pet in a soothing and playful way. I offer small animal care as well.

When I was a child, my dream was to become a veterinarian. However, I learned that the education requires dissection, and I didn't have the heart for that. So I became a nurse instead, helping the humans. Before that, one of my first jobs was helping to manage a cat-only shelter that belonged to a veterinary practice called, 'Pets unlimited' in San Francisco. I have also volunteered at the San Francisco Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA).

As a former member of The Catsitter Heidelberg verein (now I have a system with my good neighbor), I gained even more experience pet sitting and also communicating well with pet owners. As well, I have grown up with all kinds of pets: cats, dogs, even rats, guinea pigs, and hamsters. Our family currently has a dog, whom we adopted from the Heidelberg Tierheim, and 2 senior cats.
