Dear pet owners, I'm a 31-year-old full-time teacher in Germany, having moved here in August 2024 from South Africa. While adjusting to my new life, I sadly lost my beloved Pomeranian to cancer. The grief of losing my dog has left a void in my heart, and I've turned to caring for other dogs as a form of therapy. I registered on this pet-sitting app to walk dogs or look after them in their homes. Spending time with dogs not only helps me heal but also brings joy and companionship into my life. Being around animals gives me a sense of connection and comfort, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to help others care for their pets. As a teacher, I’m used to being around people, but dogs have a unique way of bringing calm and positivity into my life. It’s a beautiful way to channel my energy, while offering others a helping hand in caring for their pets. I truly believe that spending time with animals can heal, and I’m grateful for every opportunity I get to care for them.
