Hello, I’m Maanini, your go-to fur-end for all things dog :)

Being away from family for the first time, I often crave the comfort of home, and the company of my family dog, Buttercup! She brings me immense happiness even though she’s not physically present with me.

I therefore believe dog sitting is a therapeutic experience. It provides me with a comforting sense of companionship that helps cope with feelings of loneliness and homesickness. Caring for a dog will introduce a routine that brings structure and purpose to my days to create a profound sense of normalcy quicker in this new environment. I also believe the physical activity involved in walking and playing with a furry friend keeps me active. Plus, the unconditional love and affection I receive from a dog nurture my emotional well-being, making this transition to independence feel much less daunting.

While I have not dog sat previously, I have been an active animal welfare community volunteer to raise funds for the well-being of stray dogs in India, Singapore & Hong Kong as a school student. Furthermore, having a dog at home has given me a solid understanding of the responsibilities involved in caring for them. From ensuring they are fed on time to walking, playing at the park, and cleaning up after them, I’m well-versed in the effort and joy that comes with looking after our furry companions.

I am fully prepared to care for dogs throughout the day, whether it's for a few hours, making occasional visits, or even staying overnight if necessary. Please note that, as I live in a student dormitory, I am unable to bring dogs to my apartment. I am comfortable looking after all breeds, regardless of age, and I welcome the opportunity to care for multiple dogs at once—the more, the merrier! Fur real, I absolutely adore dogs and I can’t wait to pawsitivly pamper them!
