Hi! I'm Valentina, an Italian-Argentinian professional cat sitter living in Berlin. I have been working professionally with cats since 2023, and cat sitting is now my full-time job.

Over the years, I have cared for many different cats, each with their own personality, routine and needs. I have experience with senior cats, cats who need medication, shy or anxious cats, and cats with more challenging or aggressive personalities. I strongly believe that there is no single way to care for every cat: some want lots of cuddles and attention, some want to play, and others simply need their space and time to feel comfortable with a new person.

🐾 My visits

During my visits, I take care of everything your cat needs: food and fresh water, litter boxes, medication when required, and of course playtime, company and cuddles according to their personality.

I also send you an update with photos and/or videos after my visits, so you can enjoy your time away knowing how your cat is doing.

Before the first booking, I like to meet you and your cat(s), learn their routine and make sure I have all the information I need to care for them properly.

I am registered as a self-employed professional cat sitter and have liability insurance for my work.

🩺 Health & behaviour

Complete and accurate information about every cat in the household is very important to me. Before accepting a booking, I need to know about any health conditions, infectious or contagious diseases, necessary medication and relevant recent veterinary care.

I also need to know about their personalities and behaviour: how they react to strangers, whether there is any history of aggression, how the cats in the household interact with each other, and whether any of them need to be kept separately.

This information allows me to provide safe and appropriate care for your cats and is also essential for protecting the other cats and households I visit.

🕐 Visiting hours

As a full-time cat sitter, I organise my daily schedule according to the number of cats I am caring for and the locations of the different households.

• Morning visits are scheduled between 7:00 and 10:00

• Once-daily visits usually take place between 10:00 and 13:00

• Evening visits are scheduled between 16:00 and 20:00

For this reason, some flexibility regarding the exact visiting time is very important.

If your cat has a specific medical, feeding or care requirement that needs to be done at a particular time, please let me know before booking and we can discuss whether I can accommodate it.

❤️ A little bit about me

Berliner Cat actually started because of my own cat, Pantera. When I moved to Berlin, unfortunately I couldn't bring her with me and she stayed in Argentina with my family. Missing her was what initially brought me into cat sitting. What started as a way to stay connected with cats eventually became my full-time profession — and something I truly love doing.

I speak Spanish, English, Italian and some German. Spanish is my mother tongue and, just like when I started, I still speak Spanish to the kitties too... so don't be surprised if they learn a few words while you're away! 😉
