I grew up with dogs in my house, so I’ve always loved been around animals. And for the past 6 years, I’ve been taking care of dogs and cats for friends, neighbours and family. I’ve looked after all kinds of pets, from very small dogs to big ones and also with very different personalities. I’ve also taken care of cats, whether they’re super cuddly or prefer to have their own space.

Whenever I take care of someone’s pet, I really try to treat them like they’re my own. I’m very alert to their routine, about what they like and don’t like, and trying to make them to feel comfortable and safe while they are away from their owners. 

I usually go on walks at parks around from 30 to 60 minutes with maximum of 2 dogs at the time, depending on their age, energy level and usual routine. I can also do shorter walks for dogs who prefer something more relaxed or spend time playing at home.

I’m happy to look after pets for several days or even longer periods, as long as we make sure their needs and my schedule are a good match. I work around 5 hours a day from Thursday to Sunday, so on those days I’ll be away for part of the day. We can discuss your pet’s routine before and make sure the schedule works well for them. From Monday to Wednesday, I have much more flexibility and can spend most of the day with them. I also follow their normal routine as much as possible, including feeding times, walks, naps and any specific habits they have. If your pet is staying with me, i will accept maximum one at the time, so he/she can be more comfortable alone with me.

I know that staying with someone new can be a big change for a pet, so I try to make the transition as easy as possible. I give them time to explore, never force interaction and pay attention to their body language and personality. I can also send you photos and videos every day, so you can see how they’re doing while you’re away.
