Dear fellow pet lover😺🐶

My name is Melanie, Mel for short;) I'm a Dutchy living in wonderful Berlin with my Dutch husband. I'm 44 years young!

I was raised with pets. I was practically born in the dog bed of our Bouvier;) I still have pictures of me as a baby laying next to our dog 'Nelis.' my parents always had dogs of different breeds (Sheppard's, Bouvier's, Fox Terrier and mix breeds) so I m pretty well used to dogs all my life. Later I adopted a beautiful rescui dog from Portugal myself, which you can see in the picture gallery. I've lived with a cat too for 5 years when I was in university. And these days I do all kind of pet sitting, mostly cats and dogs, but also rabbits and one time even fishes, Japanese Koi, very expensive fishes that is!  

Your pet

I understand that you want the best for your pet. Most pets just do best when they stay in their own home. Therefore I prefer to homesit. I'm really quiet experienced with dogs, also with rescui dogs. I'm reliable, open to your dog's communication and consequent in your rules and I'm very stable. This usually means dogs know what to expect and therefore feel very safe. And this works wonders! With cats it's a bit different ofcourse. They are very different than dogs and my approach to cats is that cats live their lives like usually and they will ask for extra love and care when they feel like it. The cat owner will give me an indication what the cat specifically likes, loves or even dislikes. I used to take my own dog with me for a coffee date on a terras, for daily long walks in the forest and fun walks in the city.

About me

I'm a trustworthy non smoking, quiet, relaxed person. I enjoy drinking coffee outside on a terras, be in nature, swim in lakes, walk in the forest and bike through the city (I'm a Dutchy ofcourse) And, a big plus here: I'm very good with plants I dare say so:) I'll take care of your plants as if they are pets, and I'm not even kidding;) 

Some of my interests are history, documentaries, other cultures, fashion, languages and travelling. I've lived in the Netherlands, Brazil, Spain and in Germany and I studied al those languages to integrate as well as possible.
