Hi :)

My name is Tamara and I'm here as I would like to support other pet-parents in looking after their pets. I have loved animals ever since I was young but was not able to have a pet growing up as my brother has asthma and is allergic to all animal hair. As soon as he moved out I got my first hamster, Joyce, and throughout the years became the pet-parent of my hamsters Macy, Zoey, Whiskey and currently Lenny. My dream was always to have a dog but as we live in a city apartment and work full time I have not managed to fulfill my dream. Instead, I am a cat-mum to Molly, our 3 year old European short hair, since May 2020 and also enjoy going for walks or looking after my neighbours Jack Russell called Oldi. This means that I have experience looking after small pets as well as cats and dogs. I am also happy to administer medication if necessary even though I've only dealt with easy, friendly patients so far :)

Being a pet-parent myself I know how difficult it is to go on vacation and look for the best possible solution to have the pets well taken care of. We are using the Pawshake service ourself and so far only had great experience. This is why I would like to support other pet owners in being able to enjoy their vacation.

As I work full time (partially from home) I am able to either visit your pets twice a day (morning and evening) or stay at your place to be with them mainly in the evenings and during the night. If you have a dog that needs to be taken on walks on a regular basis I am happy to sacrifice my lunch break and use this time for a walk as well (given you live somewhere reachable by bike from the city centre). Generally I would prefer if your pet is able to stay home alone for a few hours but especially over the weekend I'm flexible and working from home days could also be arranged :)
