Anna

Anna is very sweet and responsible, and I would definitely recommend her as a sitter! This was the second time my Toffee stayed with Anna, while I was on holidays for 2,5 weeks, and we had again a great experience. Toffee is very stressed and anxious and she managed him very well, also in stressful situations. I can feel how much Anna cares for Toffee and does everything to make him comfortable and happy. She even gave him a bath when he had allergies and was itching :) I'm happy to see Toffee very close to Anna and sure he would be happy to stay with her again!

Anna is a nice person and she likes animals a lot, but sadly I have to mention that on the 2nd day of our holidays she called us because our dog was peeing to much apparently and she didn’t want her anymore, this never happened to us in Pawshake. Luckily we have a friend who could take her, otherwise we would have to go back all the way from Italy to pick her up. I guess part of taking care of dogs includes dealing with senior dogs as well. So sadly we can’t recommend her because this caused a lot of stress for us. After we gave her this review, she sent us an angry message to our personal phone saying that our dog pees everywhere (this is a lie) and saying that we lied in our meet and greet (this is also a lie, we always mentioned that she’s an old dog and she could wet the bed at night, that’s why we gave her the pads). We never had an experience like this in pawshake, maybe she’s really good with young dogs but I wouldn’t recommend her at all with senior dogs and after the personal messages even less.

I believe that both pet-sitters and pet-owners shall be transparent and honest when they have the meet and greet.

The fact that the dog is used to peeing everywhere on the floors and on her bed, was hidden from us. When the dog was brought to us, to my surprise, instead of a soft and comfortable bed, the owner had brought a raised mesh dog bed, which had stains of dog urine on it. In the bag, there were more than 20 pads. I was told to use them under the bed, in case the dog pees maybe once or twice (within 18 days). In reality, even taking her outside for multiple times during the day every 2 hours literally, also at 00.30 at night and at 07.00 in the morning, she would still pee on the floors and on her bed almost every hour.

The owner was immediately informed of the situation on the first day. Unfortunately, we had to ask to find another pet-sitter on the 2nd day, as it was obvious that very important detail of taking care of the dog was hidden from us on purpose, i.e. the dog pees everywhere multiple times a day.

We were told that “IF it's very hot IF the dog drinks a lot of water IF I don't take her out late at night, she MAY pee on her bed once or twice during the whole stay of 18 days.”

Unfortunately, this was not the case.

We feel very sorry for the dog, but the owners shall take responsibility, be honest and communicate all information to the pet-sitters for the benefit of the pet in the first place.
