Hi, I’m Sarah! I'm a dog lover without any dogs at the moment (because I travel too much) so I've got lots of pup love to share! I'm a freelance writer from South Africa and work from home (as does my husband, Joe) so we have plenty of time to care for dogs during the day and for overnight stays.

I love being active and jogging and exercising so I'm always up for walks, even when it's wintry. Having dogs to walk is a good excuse for taking a break from work and getting outside! I also love a doggy cuddle on the couch.

I grew up with feisty Jack Russells so I know about taking care of dogs who are very energetic and like a lot of attention. I’ve also grown up with rescue dogs who need special love and care.

We have a small enclosed balcony area, and we're close to the Landwehr Canal and Görlitzer Park, so there are lots of walking routes nearby!

When I look after dogs overnight they'll sleep inside my apartment, either on my bedroom floor or on in the lounge - whatever they're used to. I don't have any pets and the only other person in my apartment is my husband. I work from home so I have time to be attentive to your dog during the day and do at least three walks a day.

If I'm doing day care or a dog walk I can do a walk of at least an hour.

I've been a vegetarian for 15 years and am a big animal lover. I think that taking care of pets and giving them love is just a small way of giving back to animals.
