Hello petfriends:)

I come from a pet-friendly household and raised by a biologist, environmentalist mother. I grew up with dogs and cats. I have my dog companion with me that I found on the streets of Turkey in a bad condition and adopted her 5 years ago. Her name is Sote and since then we lived together in Istanbul, Milan and now in Berlin. I love animals, but Sote inspired me so much that I started doing volunteer work with street animals and shelter dogs in Istanbul. (and actually written my master thesis on the topic). I joined weekly to the feeding events of the dogs in the peripheries of Istanbul and tried to raise awareness and promoted adoption of the ones that couldn't survive outside.

Between 2018-2020 we lived in Milano and my flatmate had a jack russel terrier, I often took care of them both. We've travelled together, went to lakes, climbed mountains and been in various environments.

Since 2020 I've worked in an large office space and Sote was coming with me everyday to my work. I tried to go to forests in the weekends regardless of Berlin winters :) She is a very calm dog indoors but goes crazy in the wild and she really likes nature. So I really try to take care.

Right now I'm in between jobs and have more free time, and the weather is super nice and more the merrier, both for me and for Sote. I missed a lot being around multiple dogs, I sensed that she felt lonelier when we left Milano. In Berlin I'm in a shared flat with 1 other person, and the flat has an extra room. (The concrete floored photos are from my flat). I live next to a canal and various green spaces.

She's a free dog, very social with both people and other dogs. She has BARF diet for more than 2 years and before that I used to cook for her. So sorting out meat is part of my life and I'm quite accustomed to taking care of different diets. She is rarely problematic to other dogs (frankly just sets her boundaries to unsterilized male dogs) and quite content with her life (i hope).
