I recently started a full time gig working at one of the fabulous international schools here in Berlin. As such I am scaling back on the kinds of services I offer. I am unavailable for house sitting and morning/day time walks and visits. If you still want an afternoon or evening walk or visit then I am still free then. Thank you for understanding!

Greetings animal lovers, my name is Charlie! I appreciate you considering me to help you take care of your fur babies. I am available throughout the week (Monday through Thursday) in the afternoons and evenings after 16:00 for walks and visits (up to an hour) and home visits (up to an hour per visit). During these times, I can also provide feeding/watering, basic grooming (brushing and combing), basic medicine administration, and all the attention, love and fun your special animal friend needs. Please let me know about any needs your pet might have (temperment, dietary needs, physical/emotional needs, etc.) so I can make it the best experience for your fur baby.

So here's a little about me:

I'm an American expat and teacher living in Charlottenburg. I'm super excited to take care of your special fur babies! Growing up, I've had many animal friends in my life from dogs and cats to rabbits and fish. I was a neighborhood dog walker in high school on top of taking care of my family's dog, "Ichiban," and our three cats, "Mama Kitty, Twinkie, and Picklehead." A few years ago, I joined an American dog walker app called Wag and spent three years walking dogs of various ages, sizes, and temperments. Before moving to Berlin, I spent the summer of 2020 caring for my parent in-laws' 3 dogs, "Rylee, Lexi, and Logan."

There are many important qualities pet owners look for in their animal's caretaker. First, I am flexible and can easily adapt to an animal's specific needs. Whether it involves their diet, age, or temperment, I am committed to meeting the needs of your fur baby. Also, as a teacher and pet owner, behavior management is very important to me. Knowing how your animal responds to your discipline style will be crucial in forming trust with your pets. Finally, what I consider to be the most important quality is my compassion for animals. When I was working with Wag, owners always commented on my patience, loving care, and ability to go above and beyond for their pets. I learned that my speciality is with elderly and skittish dogs, the ones that might need a caretaker just to sit with them, pet them, wait for them to get comfortable with me. If your dog has specific or emotional needs, then I'm the sitter you're looking for.
