Hello, Im António!

I'm a 23-year-old Portuguese student, currently doing my internship at Charité at a research center. I'm a Neuroscience nerd who also likes to hang out with friends, read novels & philosophy, and go for climbing and swimming in my free time!

Throughout my life, I've had several pets: turtles, parrots, goldfish, ducks, and more recently guinea pigs. Even though I annoyed my parents quite a bit through the years they never allowed me to have a dog (or a snake, my dream animal!) because we used to live in an apartment that wasn't that big they said. This always led me to friends' and relatives' houses who had dogs. I'd spend hours and hours playing with them and I remember going back so happy and muddy from rolling on the ground with the dogs, and then I'd annoy my parents a bit more. Unfortunately, the answer was always no. Despite never having a dog myself, I always managed to get along with dogs rapidly gaining their trust. Same with most cats, some really just seem to ignore me and chill on their own (as cats do).

I thought working through Pawshake would be a great opportunity to conciliate some of my free time as a student with a job that would still bring a smile to my face, in a way that I would maybe relive some of those old days when I was always trying to hang out with (mostly) dogs.

Despite never having one, I have experience with a lot of different pets as well as dogs and cats, having gone for walks with different dogs from friends and relatives. Same with petsitting. One time I was in Toulouse, France pet sitting with 2 really big cats that answered to commands!

I'm a hard worker, honest, and serious about my responsibilities. I am always eager to learn and improve, always listening to suggestions.
