Background
I’m a software engineer, Shiva is a freelance illustrator based in Munich who would like to soften and deepen their day-to-day experience of life, and tame its sometimes boring repetitive days by taking time off work and connecting with stranger animals who tend to become long-term friends eventually.

We live with our two cats these days, but used to also live with our two dogs who have passed away a couple of years ago, but still, live in our heads & hearts. We used to volunteer at local animal support shelters back in the day when we were younger. There we supported & befriended huge and even unfriendly aggressive dogs. We also met each other there, imagine that ;)

Services
Our services include:

— We'd accompany your pets while actively interacting with them as we do with our own pets

Grooming and administering oral medication is not a problem if your pet is used to it. Watering your plants, picking up mail, and cleaning the litter box of the household kings & queens 🐈👑 is, of course, on the menu.

We personally cook no-sugar protein-rich medium-rare food for our cats every single day. If you're also worried about sugar-rich low-protein content canned food, it'd be a cinch for us to make them a quick healthy meal that they will get used to gradually.

For home visits, and dog walking/jogging, we prefer earlier mornings around ~9-10am or evenings after ~5pm, but considering we're two, we can be flexible if needed.

Requirements
To make sure nothing is lost in the translation verbally & that everything goes as planned, I would ask you to write down & send over a list of requirements and tips for the service you are expecting for your beloved pets & plants; just as we do for the petsitters, we hire.

Attitude & Trust
My wife and I use Pawshake services as pet owners all the time. You can be sure that we will take care of your loved ones with the care we expect from our petsitters and the love we express for our own pets. Well, maybe a tad less at the start!

To establish a base level of trust, please feel free to arrange an introductory meeting. If you are booking for home-sitting, you can, of course, ask to get a copy of my ID as well. Furthermore, you will get our personal numbers and the address you could visit us for a cup of coffee to be sure you know who is taking care of your loved ones.

Communication

After your booking is confirmed, our communication will remain constant unless you want it otherwise. You will get:

- Updates, photos and videos of your loved ones every single time we visit.
- You will get dog walking report cards with time, location and distance metrics.
- We prefer English, but can manage German, too.

Further notes

For two dogwalks per day, please arrange two different bookings. One could be house sitting as two dogwalks is not yet supported on Pawshake.

We include half an hour walks with each dog house sitting, for more than that, please also book a dog walking service on the side.

For house sitting services, while we do our best to be flexible, please be considerate about our time and arrive in time. We usually checkin at 10am and we stay for 24h for one house sitting.
