ABOUT MYSELF:

Hi there! My name is Isabel. I come from Arica, a small sunny city at the north of Chile (and south Perú). I speak spanish, english and a little bit dutch (I lived in Belgium 12 years ago).

I’m an industrial designer as a professional, but at the moment I am taking a "professional break" for a while, just to be away from the desk and let my body take some movement! (I was rusting and I am only 30 years old y'know haha). At this time I'm working on cleaning and pet sitting, and reaaally enjoying it. I am also a illustrator and I am working on starting a small business drawing pet portraits (coming soon!)

MY EXPERIENCE:

Back in my country I have 3 gorgeous dogs: Kusi (the black one on the pictures), Chibolo (brown one) and Dui (white one). As you can see, I am new on this app, but not new at taking care of pets (even having many at the same time!).

Regarding my experience with pets, I’ve owned and took care of several dogs and one blind kitty called Prichus. The only reason I didn't take care of cats in the past its because my brother was super allergic (and i hate him for that ahhaha) but I really love them and want to get closer to them if I have the opportunity.

Also I’ve been actively involved in many animal rescue organizations. As in Chile there are so many stray dogs in suffer, a friend of mine and I decided to rescue more than 30 sick dogs, take care of them and get responsible adoption families for them. It was really hard work, but definitely something that was worth every second to see them finally healthy and happy.

Besides, at the University I led a support group for the dogs that lived on the building and surroundings. We feeded them, took them to the vet and also we designed and builded houses for them in the streets and parks.

Plus about myself, I am the girl that her friends consult, who they call when they are in need and who they entrust their pets to. I guess they do it because they know how much I take care of my pets and stray pets.

MY PLACE*:

I live in a 2 room apartment in Neukölln. Sadly we have no balcony, but I think that also makes our home a safer place even for cats and dogs, you know? :) Many of my neighbors own pets too! (and they are great neighbors by the way).

I live only with my boyfriend, who is a painter and an illustrator as I am. He has never had dogs before, and we recently found out that he is one of those people that dogs and cats just love. It's crazy: I take care of them and they love him! (Maybe he is a dog on a human body, idk).

We live by the river and near small fenced green spots where some doggies play. A little further afield is Treptower and Görlitzer park, a great place to roam.

*UPDATE June 2021: at the moment we are not able to receive pets at our place! We will let people know when we can do it again in the future.

MY SERVICE:

Count on me that I will take care of your pet as much as if He/she were mine! I can walk them, visit them and take care of them at your place. I can also bathe, cook and feed them. Walks usually are at least for half an hour, but I am flexible to adapt to the pet's needs (sometimes they need a little bit more when they have much energy, and other oldies ones just want to walk for a while, it's well known).

If you wish, when I take care of your pet, I will send you as many photos and videos as you want in them best superstar photogenic moments. I can also make a custom portrait for you.

MY MOTIVATION:

I love animals. I am happy when I'm surrounded by pets. They mean a lot to me (that much that I'm also dedicating my work to illustrate them). I know you guys understand when I say that I love animals so much that I would do this for free. The truth is that if I could live on this, I would be the happiest and luckiest person in the world.
