Hello,

My name's Ashley and I've just moved to Berlin. I was living in Paris prior to this, but am originally from the US. I'm 27, active, and miss having pets dearly. As I'm new here, it would be helpful for me to find some extra work, especially with something that would be fufilling, which is why I've chosen to seek out pet walking and sitting. I've watched many friends' dogs and cats over the years and have had both dogs and cats my whole life. I enjoy being active so taking dogs out for some exercise is great for me too, and I love being around animals in general. I'm available for pet sitting and walking, but as I'm subletting at a friends place, I'm unable to pet sit at my own home at the moment. I'm attentive to pets, making sure they feel loved and am naturally affectionate. I like to be attuned to each creature's individual needs. I'm able to take dogs out for a run/walk, to a park to play fetch or with whatever other toys they like, can give them baths, medication if needed, etc. The only restriction I have is I prefer not to handle large/medium size dogs with histories of aggression or violence.

(While I'm not experienced with exotic pets or reptiles, I'm open to educating myself more on how to take care of these guys and taking instruction from you if you have a need for someone new to help out)

I'm currently finishing my thesis for a Masters program in International Relations and on the search for a job in Berlin, but even once finding a job I hope to maintain pet walking/sitting. I enjoy hiking, snowboarding, travel, camping, and new cultural experiences like museums, movies, languages, etc. I'm very new to the German language, so for now, English is best for me but I hope to improve my German while living here. I have three other flatmates right now, but am on the search for a long-term flatshare because I'm only staying with a friend until I find something permanent.
