Hello there - nice to meet you!

My name is Tamara, I am a 36-year-old living in (and loving) Moabit. Although I am a super proud dog mama of Lana (a super friendly 2-year-old female Japanese Spitz), I really see myself as the auntie of all 4 legged friends and care for them as my own. I've always had animals around me and grew up in an animal-loving home (my sister even lives on a countryside farm with birds, ducks, chicken, sheep, chinchillas, horses and a very special Donkey) and as an adult, I took care of strays, fostered and adopted dogs as well.

I would LOVE to spend time with your fur baby and care for them as my own. I really enjoy going to nature (we are very close to dog parks, lakes and Tiergarten), sitting and relaxing together in cafes, playing and being exhausted together with training, tricks and games - and then... we finish the day resting cuddled in front of a nice movie :) At night, we don't like to sleep in different rooms than our guests, so the more the merrier!

I also enjoy anything related to water and bathing - so if your doggy likes water let me know!

A proper meet&greet (in Moabit) before our first booking is mandatory for ensuring the well being of our puppies and a better match between us all. So please plan your booking time accordingly.

What to expect:

I love spending as much time as possible together with my Lana and the same goes for guests. Being a freelancer, allows me to work from home and have flexible hours, so your pooch will never stay alone (for dog boarding, only in exceptional cases, no longer than 1.5 hours per day).

Lana (our dog), my partner and I live together in a spacious 3 room inner courtyard apartment on the ground floor (no steps). Our guests are allowed to be in all rooms and are allowed to sleep where they wish (as long as they are not very dirty, in which case we prefer washing them or limiting the use of our bed). Any rules or wishes from your household will be fully respected to not disturb routine and habits.

We have our own, private back garden, which we enjoy laying around or playing on. We have a terrace, shaded corners with water access, a small lawn, some plants and flowers and the occasional bee/bird visitors. Although we never leave our dog, nor guests alone and unsupervised in the garden, we can consult together before boarding/daycare, if the garden use is fit for the character and size of your little one or will this area be restricted during the stay.

My partner and I are both vegetarians and big animal lovers (we have no problem with feeding any type of food of course). Although I will be your main caregiver, my partner, Alex - a simultaneous 2 hand caressing expert, might join for walks, help with feeding, provide playtime and unlimited cuddles. He is also a runner, so if your dog likes that - we are prepared!

Depending on your dog's needs and energy level, I offer at least 1 hour of physical exercise (can be broken down as indoor/outdoor play), 3 walks per day when one of them (usually afternoon or evening) is at least 45 minutes. I will never take the lead off unless allowed by you, only in an appropriate area.

For comfort, space and capacity, we only take one household's dogs at a time (if they live together with you, we will not make you separate them!).

Special extras:

We had Lana as an 8 weeks old puppy, which means I practised a lot of training, socializing, boundaries and even mastered the pipi run (which is easy, as we live on the ground floor)! We can also gladly and easily puppy proof everything :)

My previous rescue dog, Snow, got to live a full life (14) - so I get it. Growing old requires quite a different care. I would love to walk slower, talk louder, carry up and down stairs or use diapers when needed. If she/he needs to take any daily medicine, I got it covered. I learned some tricks and that is of course, not a problem at all.

I enjoy amateur grooming! If your dog likes to get a haircut or just to be brushed and having a mini spa day we can also find an arrangement for that! (we have both a bathtub and a shower).

Both my partner and I participated in a basic first aid and emergency care class from our local vet - but I wouldn't consider myself an expert. I am, however, very aware and sensitive to behaviours and red flags which might require professional emergency care - either with our local vet (10 minutes walk) or the Tegal hospital (15 minutes drive)
